Ate here three separate times during a work trip: two breakfasts and a lunch. Enjoyed each meal, a ton of places to sit and would be a great place to work from.

Delicious food and drinks - a little hard to find if you're driving as it is located at the base of a large office tower. Street parking is metered.

Oaklandia is a wonderful Cafe tucked near 12th Bart & the federal building with a vibrantly colorful menu and decor! Community drips from this place from the captivating art to the locally sourced coffee they proudly serve with their blueberry & lavender scones! The hot pastrami sandwich was the perfect lunch time meal after a stressful day at court! The pastrami was medium cut, not that shaved stuff that always falls out😒, the spinach was vibrantly green & the pepperoncinis gave just enough spice for you to heave a hearty sigh after the first bite!
Black woman owned & operated, Cannot WAIT to go back and try the Caprese! Who says there's no reasonably priced, healthy food options in downtown Oakland? Not me!! 😋💯

I’m visiting Oakland and when looking for food to try, this place met a trifecta of requirements for me - good reviews, near my hotel and black owned. It did not disappointed! I went in for breakfast and the staff was so friendly but also quick and efficient with taking and making order. My spinach and egg on a roll was delicious and my iced coffee was exactly what I needed to get my day started. I highly recommend! (I didn’t take a pic till the end 😩🤣)

The food was so good. My friend and I got the bacon egg and cheese with chipotle aioli and it was delicious. She also had the mixed smoothie and I had the Emptess Latte and it was delicious, not too sweet and perfect for a cold day!

Where do I start. I work for city hall. And a co worker informed me about this cafe. So one morning I went to try their French Vanilla Latte & Apple turn over. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! Just wow. I pray you grow past Oakland. This is a black owned business and it is TRULY A GEM. KEEP SHINING. !!!

This was my first time here, and the coffee was so good! The first sip I took has so much flavor, I ordered the black and brown latte, and I taste it all of the deep flavors of caramel and chocolate and it was so delicious. It had a nice buttery taste to it too which I loved. I had also got a chicken torta and I got it without slaw and onions so if you order it with those things, I’m sure they have a lot more flavor and more add ingredients but it was still really good. They also were so kind to put my cheese on the side since I had ordered online, I put it in the notes and I’m happy that they looked at it. I should have gotten the BLT because I’m sure that that would’ve tasted so good after tasting the chicken torta but I’m so satisfied. I will be coming again, the parking is not good, but hopefully I can come earlier in the day.

Wonderful owner who came by our office to offer a huge tray of sandwiches at no cost to us since she was in the neighborhood.
Actions like this, sharing with the community, is greatly appreciated, and this business should be supported.
The staff enjoyed the goodies.

I'm always looking for places to work on my laptop that aren't Starbucks, and Oakland is ripe with cafes. This one was on my list for a long time and did not disappoint.
I had the spinach, egg, and cheese sandwich on a croissant. The cashier was an absolute delight and asked me a lot of questions about what I'd like on the sandwich and ultimately recommended the cheapest way to get what I wanted. The price ended up being almost half of what I pay for a similar sandwich at my local bakery.
The matcha latte was made with real matcha leaves and not overly sweet. I've been duped on matcha way more than I'd like to admit, and I'm always looking for matcha that reminds me of Kyoto.
This cafe is located inside of an office building on the ground floor but is accessible via street parking. It's a nice location downtown.
I gave the atmosphere a 4 because while the inside is spacious and clean, many of the plastic seats were cracked. I was wearing shorts and the plastic pinched my skin. Cheap furniture will do that.
Overall I'd come here again.

The Oak Caesar Salad is perfectly crunchy and savory. The lavender tea lemonade refreshing and mixed perfectly. An amazing calm vibe during the lunch hour. Also, had a blueberry muffin, yummy
